Merlin Barton Ii Wax Jacket

Merlin Heritage Collection

The Merlin Heritage Collection seamlessly blends classic styling with modern protection to create a versatile selection of motorcycle clothing. We use a range of different market-leading materials, including Halley Stevensons® Waxed Cotton, D3O® armour and Reissa® waterproofing to ensure the highest quality. Our heritage collection also expands into leather garments for retro riders who want the old-school looks minus the signature feel of waxed cotton. Combining the best of British-made motorcycle clothing, our Heritage line offers a wide variety for both men and women.

Merlin Barton II Waxed Cotton Jacket

Barton II is part of our traditional waxed cotton Heritage range, constructed from a classic 12oz Halley Stevensons wet wax cotton. Barton II builds on the success of the first version, with the thermal loft of the lining increased to 150g for better performance in colder climates. Tri-ventilated D3O® LP1 armour has been introduced to the shoulders and elbows as standard, while a host of other functions have been improved too. A timeless style for the modern rider. Available in sizes S-3XL.

Caring for your Barton II jacket

To care for your jacket, begin by lightly brushing off any dirt or soil, and use a cold damp cloth if necessary to wipe down the jacket. Clean it in this way regularly to maintain its appearance, but don’t be too harsh as the wax will be removed. You can re-wax the jacket with our Merlin Wax Cotton Tin when it loses its waxed finish and water begins to soak into the cotton rather than bead off. Please do not machine wash, tumble dry or use hot water on your jacket. Full care information can be found in our dedicated care guide: Merlin Wash & Care.
